5 Twitter Accounts to Follow for #GirlPower, Self-Esteem, and More

Who doesn't love a great Twitter user? They perk up your day with witty comments, "Me, too!" moments, and insightful observations that make you think. Most people follow at least one Twitter account that inspires, educates, and promotes self-esteem and girl power, and we're all about that! Take a look at our favorites below, and be sure to follow us @WEAREFAWM for reblogs of their best Tweets!

1. @amightygirl

We LOVE this Twitter account! Branding themselves as "the world's largest girl empowerment marketplace," this Twitter feed covers everything from a 6-year-old female welder to one of the first female professional drummers, A Mighty Girl is packed full of information about obscure and well-known females from the past and present guaranteed to keep you and your special girl reading and learning for hours! We also love their great Facebook page and website with a fantastic gift guide for raising FAWM girls.

2. @kandeejohnson

We had to include two tweets from Kandee Johnson because she's that amazing! Some of you may remember her makeup transformations into Snow White, Tim Burton's Queen of Hearts, Betty Boop, and more, but we believe her real staying power on Youtube and Twitter is due to her focus on helping people love themselves and live happier lives - makeup or not. Check out her How to Deal with Bullying/Negative Thoughts video and Bad Day Video to see what we mean. We're positive you'll adore her as much as we do!

3. @sacredselflovex

Twitter user Jaiden Monroe of Sacred Self Love runs a great blog (with the same name), and we love her calming, feminine white/baby pink theme and her great self-care tips on both sites! With posts such as "12 Healthy Habits Every Girl Should Have" and retweets about gratitude and living life at your own pace, we're sure you'll cherish her Twitter as a gentle reminder to take time for yourself and appreciate yourself where you are.

4. @spreadgirllove

Dedicated to "breaking the cycle of girl-on-girl hate," Spread Girl Love is a great Twitter feed to explore whenever you just want to get good vibes and encouragement for your hard times. With great one-liners such as "Today: show up and don't give up," the #GirlLove team has also put in an appearance at the Teen Vogue Summit (how cool!) and also has a fantastic installation as part of Refinery29's 29 Rooms museum!

5. @GirlTalkHQ

GirlTalkHQ is a fantastic resource for all kinds of articles about girl empowerment. Covering a huge (and we mean huge) range of topics from closing the STEM gender gap to one-woman comedy shows to mentions of Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Davis, Tory Burch and more, we're positive you'll find something that sparks your interest in their Twitter feed!

And there you have it! We hope you enjoy checking out these Twitter accounts - we encourage you to! They're sure to inspire, educate, and feel you feel more fabulous, capable, and FAWM throughout your day!
